Next Proposal Deadline: August 15!
The Alex Wilson Legacy Fund was established in cooperation with the Wilson Family to continue the life work of Alex “Tink” Wilson by supporting folklife programs in and around the Boulder area. The fund is administered by a three-member Board that reviews project submissions and determines grant awards.
Grant Cycle
The Fund supports projects through small grants, typically $500 to $1,500 (with possible exceptional grants) in folk dance, folk song and story in the Boulder area and along Colorado’s Front Range. New ideas are preferred rather than the funding of existing projects or ongoing programs. Many more details about types of projects funded and evaluation criteria are provided in the Overview/Instructions/Application document, below.
Proposals are invited at two times during the year and will be evaluated and decided upon within 30 days of the proposal due date.
Funded Project Announced / Unfunded Projects Notified
April 15 (for projects/events occurring between April 15 of the current year and April 15 of the next year)*
September 15 (for project/events occurring between Sept. 15 of the current year and Sept. 15 of the next year)*
* Multi-year projects will also be considered.
